The intellectual Djacir Lima de Menezes, son of Paulo Elpídio de Menezes and Olga Freire Lima de Menezes, was a professor, sociologist, jurist, economist and philosopher. He was born in the city of Maranguape, in the state of Ceará, on October 16, 1907.

Father Antonio Henrique Pereira Neto, known as Padre Henrique, was born in Recife on 28 October 1940, to José Henrique Pereira da Silva Neto and Isaíras Pereira da Silva.

Sebastião Vila Nova was born in Rio Largo, Alagoas, on 18 January 1944. His family moved to Recife while he was still a child. From a poor background, he had to work at a young age: selling Christmas baskets door to door; working as a radio actor on radio soap operas at the Tamandaré and Clube.
