Located in the municipality of Escada, on the mill of the same name, it was founded in 1890 by Marcionilo da Silveria Lins, taking the name Silveira Lins e Filhos.

In 1914, his youngest son, Zenóbio Marques da Silveira Lins, passed the company on to José Henrique Carneiro da Cunha.

From 1916 to 1917 they were partners in the Oscar Amorim mill and their brothers-in-law José Henrique Carneiro da Cunha and Oscar Berardo Carneiro da Cunha.

In 1929, owned only by José Henrique Carneiro da Cunha, the plant had nine agricultural properties, with a capacity to produce 50,000 tons of sugarcane, a 60-kilometer railroad, three locomotives and 84 cars and wagons. It had the capacity to produce 500 tons of cane and 7,000 liters of alcohol in 22 hours. At the time of the milling, around 150 workers worked at the factory, and the hiring of minors, foreigners and women was not allowed. It maintained two schools with an average annual enrollment of 30 students each.

The Massauassu plant currently belongs to Rui Carneiro da Cunha.

In 1987, it produced 569,220 50-kilogram bags of sugar, but is currently deactivated.
