Gregorio Bezerra, politician, communist leader and former sergeant of the Brazilian Army, was born on 13 March 1900, at a small farm named Mocóin the municipality of Panelas de Miranda, Pernambuco. The son of impoverished and illiterate peasants, he was hungry.

Othon Lynch Bezerra de Mello was one of the leading industrials of Brazil. He was born on 9 February 1880 in the city of Limoeiro, in the State of Pernambuco, son of José Clemente Bezerra de Mello, a descendant of Bernardo Vieira de Mello, hero of the Mascate War, and Ama Lynch Bezerra de Mello.

Francisco do Rego Barros, Baron, Viscountandlater Countof Boa Vista, was born on 3 February 1802, in the town of Cabo, on the Trapiche Sugarcane Plantation owned by his parents, Francisco do Rego Barros, Colonel in the Militias,and Mariana Francisca de Paula do Rego Barros.
