Silverio Pessoa is a musician born on 6 January 1962 in Carpina, a city in the Northern Forest Zone of Pernambuco. As a child, Silverio Pessoa used to hear ‘forró’ songs, ‘maracatu rural’ and other regional rhythms performed on Radio Planalto de Carpina.
