Journalist, writer, poet, orator and novelist Manoel Arão de Oliveira Campos was born on 11 January to José Matheus Coimbra de Campos and Francisca Joaquina de Oliveira Campos in the city of Afogados da Ingazeira, in the semi-arid region of Pajeú, Pernambuco.
