Doctor, writer and journalist, Leduar Figueirôa de Assis Rocha was born on 2 September 1904 in the city of Olinda, Pernambuco.

Journalist, writer, poet, orator and novelist Manoel Arão de Oliveira Campos was born on 11 January to José Matheus Coimbra de Campos and Francisca Joaquina de Oliveira Campos in the city of Afogados da Ingazeira, in the semi-arid region of Pajeú, Pernambuco.

On 3 August 1922, at Engenho Jundiá in Vicência, Pernambuco, Manoel Correia de Oliveira Andrade was born. His parents were Joaquim Correia Xavier de Andrade (plantation master and cattle rancher) and Zulmira Azevedo Correia de Andrade.
