Considered one of the greatest popular cultural manifestations in Brazil, samba, a recognized musical rhythm that was created by African enslaved people, is considered the symbol of Brazilian cultural tradition.
Its procession is very similar to the Lenten processions of Cinzas and Fogaréus, common to Recife in the 18th century, bearing the standard (flag) typical of medieval corporations, with its members wearing silk, flannel pants and cords with the badge of the profession.
